Here are some of my images from college.

I have been lucky enough to returned to education as a mature student to study fabric design. In the past have made my own clothes, knitted garments and altered clothes to make them up to date or look different. Always taken an interest in fashion, fabric and the construction of garments. Also attended a jewellery design and making course working in silver and gold and still wearing some of my pieces today but gave most of them away as presents ! Spent alot of time restoring old furniture for my home instead of buying new and had some unique stuff !!

Culture Show

I watched the Culture Show last Wednesday night. A fabulous show, which starred Yayoi Kusama at Tate Modern ( which I will certainly visit in March), Richard Wilson and a very exciting light show by Angus Farquhar. I thought the show highlighted the lecture on Data last Tuesday 4 th December very nicely.




This is a clip of Yayoi Kusama showing some of her work, present and past. Kusama at Tate modern is a beautiful installation using lights, mirrors and water. Well worth viewing this short video.




Slipstream.


Richard Wilson's installation Slipstream is based on and I quote " Sense of velocity and movement of a stunt plane.
This installation is known as" Transpose the thrill of an airshow " and is going to be installed in Heathrow's Terminal 2 in 2014.     


Bexhill Pavilion." Hang on a minute lads, got a great idea."
Richard Wilson's rooftop sculpture based on "The Italian Job" film for the London 2012 Festival.
 





Angus Farquhar's light event at Arthur's Seat in
Edinburgh. 2500 runners and walkers wearing specially designed light suits. Creating a mass of light and colour
on the city's most famous hill.
