Here are some of my images from college.

I have been lucky enough to returned to education as a mature student to study fabric design. In the past have made my own clothes, knitted garments and altered clothes to make them up to date or look different. Always taken an interest in fashion, fabric and the construction of garments. Also attended a jewellery design and making course working in silver and gold and still wearing some of my pieces today but gave most of them away as presents ! Spent alot of time restoring old furniture for my home instead of buying new and had some unique stuff !!

Black and White Data Drawings

The task was to use only pencil, graphite, charcoal or black oil bar.

The idea of this task was to use other ways of mark making. Using left,

hand if right handed or vice ver'sa. Drawing with sticks or other objects to change

the mark we make.

The drawing rule for this image. Use a H pencil drawing

with left hand (if right handed) a circle with the lines

no more than 3mm apart for 30 minutes.Keep going

even if you feel your hand is going to drop off !!

This drawings rule is taping a piece of charcoal onto a bamboo

stick and tuck up your sleeve. Draw a circle again this time for 20 minutes.

The above drawings are to represent 200 year old tree rings.

The rule for this drawing, is to draw a maze. Again for 30

minutes ( I took 10 minutes). I used a oil bar for this mark

making. I like the two tone effect from using the oil bar.
